When it comes to a decorating style, I've adopted a very classical and romantic taste. I love simplicity, however not in the modern sense of the word. I do hate clutter, but I'm by no means a minimalist. I absolutely love everything white. White gives a room such a simple, airy, romantic feel. To start off, the photograph below is one of my two most favorite photographs. It so happens that both of my favorite photographs are of Kate Moss, which I find kind of... interesting. Anyway, the picture below, save the title of the book she's reading, is what I would call perfection. I love the old feel of the room, the classical style of the furniture and the relaxing feeling I get when I look at this picture. The bathroom furniture is simple, yet allows for things to be displayed. The bathtub too, is gorgeous, however it is not my favorite. I like bathtubs that are free standing, however this one is solid, directly into the ground. In this particular case though, I think the bathtub gives the whole image a sense of masculinity in this very feminine room, which in turn empowers the woman who wants to help her husband get ahead. That however, is just my two cents on deciphering this photograph. Yes, I do spend tons of time looking and thinking about it.

Organizing the Bathroom

Most of us have a decent sized bathroom, some lucky ones have a wonderfully spacious one... but some, like myself, have a tiny bathroom. There really is no room different sorts of bathroom furniture's in tiny bathrooms, but there is always room for a space saver. Not only do they provide quite a bit of extra storage, but they can look really good and fill in that boring space above your toilet. I personally prefer space savers that have a cabinet door, in comparison to ones that just have shelves. However, if you find a nice one, it can work perfectly fine. It just means that you need to keep the display simple, so that it won't start feeling cluttered.

Need a little help or inspiration organizing your daily beauty/bath products? This cabinet is beautiful, and very well organized. In general, there are a couple of rules that need to be followed for a simple and organized bathroom cabinet. One, don't over clutter. Display only your good looking products, and put the old, worn out products in a box of a sort which you can then display or put away. And two, group your products according to their colours. Everyone knows (or should know) that items of the same colour grouped together is aesthetically pleasing to the eye.

It might be a little hard to read what it says about shelf maintenance, so I will write it out here.

Shelf maintenance
1. be ruthless You'll get the most out of your skincare routine if you use the same stuff twice a day, so choose carefully. The Noah's Ark principle helps avoid overload: Store no more than two of any type of product in your medicine cabinet.
2. gather wisely Whittle down your everyday cosmetics to an inner sanctum of basics - foundation, concealer, powder, blush, eye shadow, mascara and lip gloss - and keep them together in a small makeup bag, which you can grab quickly if you're running late.
3. think vertically Corral hardware like nail clippers - as well as brushes for hair, makeup and teeth - upright in cups. That way, they're handy and won't eat up as much real estate.
4. stack smartly To maximize space, it's fine to put small bottle in front of tall ones, but be sure everything is visible. Ever notice how bathrooms eat bobby pins and hair elastics like dryers do socks? Save hair accessories from the beauty black hole by stashing like items in clear mini drawers.
5. revisit regularly You're bound to end up with five extra moisturizers cluttering the shelves after a while. Every few months, go through each level and refile anything you haven't used in two months in a deep drawer or closet - or just toss it.

Romance

Valentines day. What better than getting home from work (or school, or whatever you may be doing), lighting a bunch of candles and relaxing with or without your loved one. Even if you're single, candle light is relaxing, beautiful and will undoubtedly make you feel happy. At least, it never fails to make me feel happy! Below is one of the most gorgeous display of candles I have ever seen.

Glass Vanity

Every woman needs her own little place where she can get ready everyday and feel good doing it. This vanity room is so pretty, it's sure to make a woman feel good, even on a bad day. I love the different antiques used from different periods. They go very well together and the gorgeous wallpaper makes the relatively small room feel luxurious. Wallpaper is the new "it" item in the world of decorating, and there are so many beautiful ones out there, but in a small room you want to stick to something that is not only light but also not too busy, especially if you want to wallpaper every wall, like in this picture.
